Friday Favorites 005: 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters
If you know me well, then you know I love coffee more than just about anything. Right now, my favorite coffee roaster is 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters, based out of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. They embody the kind of passion and care that is necessary to bring exquisite coffee to your cup. Not only do they understand and respect every step of the coffee supply chain, but they go through each one with extreme attention to every detail. If you’re not familiar with what it really takes to bring coffee from the earth to your cup, I recommend you read 49th Parallel’s section on Coffee Essentials.
At home, I am enjoying 49th’s Kenyan Karatina and I have also been hooked on their Guatemalan San Juan, served at the local Comet Coffee. If you’ve never had truly amazing coffee, this is it. Come over and I’ll brew you a cup!

Friday Favorites 004: Tiny Tower
Today’s favorite is, according to the iPhone App Store, the 2011 iPhone Game of the Year. I would tend to agree. I won’t bore you with the premise of the game, because you can read that for yourself, instead I will just show you my tower as it stands after many months of construction. See it after the break in all it’s single jpeg glory.

Friday Favorites 003: Philip Glass
Tonight I will experience Philip Glass conducting his operatic masterwork Einstein on the Beach, or four and a half uninterrupted hours of performed audio-visual poetry.
I am so excited.

Friday Favorites 001: The xx – xx
Starting today, I will be posting something I find inspiring to my website once a week. This will go along with my 3 x 30 project that I’m working on and will give you a glimpse in to where my head is at.
This week my Friday Favorite is the album xx by The xx. I know this came out, like two years ago, but I can’t stop listening to it lately. I remember having a conversation with my friend Michael about the record, telling him that I liked it, but it never really clicked with me. Well, sometime in the last month, it infected me and got under my skin and went straight for my brain like some blood borne parasite.
If you haven’t already heard this record, do it now.
Also, for your viewing pleasure, here is their video for “Islands”. Enjoy!
